OUR STORY
The first Horace and Dickie’s 12th Street Carryout was established in March 1990 in the heart of DC’s H Street Northeast corridor better known as the Atlas District. Richard “Dickie” Shannon and his good friend Horace began this business through hard work and dedication to serving the community with well-prepared southern style fried fish. Sadly, Horace passed away leaving Richard as the sole proprietor of Horace and Dickie’s Seafood. In memorial to Horace, Richard kept the name Horace and Dickie’s which has become a trademark in Washington, DC.
